Our mission at GO Box is to empower reuse systems that eliminate single use plastic waste. Enjoying food and drink to go shouldn’t come with a side of environmentally harmful packaging. We are working to change the single use status quo with a simple, circular system of user-friendly software and durable hardware that empowers food vendors and their customers to choose reusables that eliminate single use plastic containers and cups.
Launched in 2011 in Portland, Oregon, GO Box was the first public reuse system in North America. We continue to lead the burgeoning reuse industry, providing access to clean, durable and sustainable food and drink ware to nearly 4,000 subscribers and 140 food vendors across our systems in Portland and the San Francisco Bay area. GO Box has already helped to eliminate over 226,000 single use containers and cups.
And we’re just getting started. We want to see reuse around the world and we’re seeking entrepreneurs and organizations to help make it happen.
